The Tocinero's bedrooms with their parquet floors were a charming touch, making me feel like a character in a romantic Spanish novel. And let me tell you, the private bathroom equipped with a bath or shower was like having my own personal oasis. Pure luxury!
Check-out was a bit of a challenge, with no one available to receive the keys.

The rooms were great, especially considering the affordable rate. The location was perfect, with easy access to both the beautiful Santander beaches and the countryside. One thing I really liked was that the restaurant was open on Sunday evenings, which is not always the case in other places.
It was a bit difficult to find the hotel as the address did not register on our SatNav. Some more details on the address section would have been helpful.

Our stay at this authentic and charming hotel was excellent value for money. The rooms, especially the apartments, were well renovated, fully equipped, and very comfortable. The location was peaceful and ideal for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside. The family-run staff went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met, even accommodating our relatives who visited in their motorhome. Highly recommended!
The food for breakfast could have been improved with a wider selection, perhaps including more options like chicken.

We had a great stay at this hidden gem near the mountains. Posada El Tocinero is a friendly, family, run place with helpful staff. the spacious rooms had large wardrobes and a bath with shower. the on, site restaurant served food until late, and the free drinks vending machine and pay snacks in the accommodation building were convenient. It's only a 15, 20 minute drive from the ferry port and city center, with plenty of parking available. the beautiful scenery in the area is worth exploring, and having a car or using the bus routes is recommended. a nice and authentic accommodation option. Cons: Nothing, it is perfect! 😊.
